GFAR side event @AASW8: Mainstreaming land rights of the rural poor in the climate change discourse
The Global Forum on Agricultural Research and Innovation (GFAR) organized several side events at the 8th Africa Agribusiness and Science Week held in Durban, South Africa from 5 to 8 June 2023.
The side event on "Mainstreaming land rights of the rural poor in the climate change discourse" was co-organized with:
- Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD)
- Asian NGO Coalition for Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (ANGOC)
- The Land Portal
The objective of the event was to improve public understanding of the links between climate change, disasters, and land tenure rights, and bring land tenure issues in the climate change discourse, listening particularly to the voices of civil society and youth.
